REA’s Corporate Governance Framework ensures strong oversight, accountability, and sustainability integration across operations. The Board of Directors, Managing Director, and President Director collectively oversee ESG and sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, ethical conduct and addresing impacts of climate change.
The Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), leads the identification and implementation of climate-related risks and opportunities. Climate-related matters are reviewed monthly at operational management meetings, board and at the group’s audit committee meetings, fostering a collaborative and strategic approach.
Aligned with our four strategic pillar, Sustainable Development, Climate Action, Forest Preservation, and Empowering Livelihoods, business unit leaders work with the CSO to identify, assess and highlight risks and climate-related risks and opportunities across the group’s operation. Each operational department will conduct critical analyses and develop targeted actions to address identified threats and opportunities.
The Grievance Committee and Grievance Action Team (GREAT), led by the President Director and CSO, address environmental and supply chain risks such as illegal logging, forest encroachment, and NDPE violations, ensuring proactive mitigation measures.
REA commits to regular reviews of the governance framework to adapt to evolving industry standards, regulatory changes, and stakeholder expectations. This includes:
Integrity
Upholding the highest ethical standards in all operations.
Fairness
Treating all stakeholders fairly, including employees, communities, and partners.
Accountability
